Compliance Monitoring Regulatory Affairs

The Compliance Monitoring Engineering – Regulatory Affairs (CME-RA) section is responsible for the acquisition, timely renewal, amendment and/or extension of all organisation approvals necessary for Emirates Engineering to deliver its premium aircraft engineering products and associated technical services to Emirates aircraft fleet and its global third party operators and customers. The section also responsible for the development, management and publication of regulatory expositions (ie. CAME, MOE and Supplements) as well as the administration, evaluation and control of departmental manuals, engineering procedures, forms and quality notices.

The Regulatory Affairs section also liaise and serve as a touch point of Emirates business stakeholders, various national aviation authorities, industry accreditation bodies and third party customers on matters related to organisation’s approval requirements, changes in industry regulations or accreditation standards and authorisations or permits necessary to fly an aircraft to a place where maintenance can be carried out.

Regulatory Approvals: Securing the necessary approvals, authorisation and/or permits from local/foreign national aviation authorities is the key to unlock the world-class aircraft engineering services and component capabilities to support the continuing airworthiness of Emirates aircraft fleet, external customer aircraft and components requirements. Aircraft Certificates – In support to Emirates Airlines continued aircraft fleet expansion and upgrades, the CME-Regulatory Affairs section strategically collaborate and liaise with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and relevant government agencies to ensure all necessary aircraft certificates, permits, operations specifications and legal documents are issued and available in a timely manner to realize the planned introduction of new aircraft to Emirates Airline fleet, including the necessary amendments of registration certificates until aircraft retirements.

Regulations Review – With the multitude of aviation regulatory approvals current held by Emirates Engineering, it is essential that any changes on statutory and regulatory environment are proactively identified, evaluated and where applicable, implemented across engineering businesses in an efficient and effective manner to ensure seamless compliance and continued validity of organisation approvals.

Policies and Procedures – Administration, control, approval and publication of the regulatory expositions, departmental manuals, engineering procedures and forms developed and/or updated by various internal business stakeholders are effectively managed by CME-Regulatory Affairs to ensure it remain current, accurate, accessible and consistently demonstrate the organisation compliance with the applicable regulations.
