The Technical Resources Centre (TRC) is part of Emirates Engineering’s Quality Assurance department. TRC disseminates and controls engineering and operational technical data to support the maintenance and operation of Emirates’ and third party customer aircraft to the highest quality standards and in compliance with manufacturer, vendor and regulatory requirements.
The main functions of TRC are to:
- Control the receipt and distribution of technical documentation using an electronic database to ensure all aircraft, vendor, regulatory and in house publications are at the latest revision status
- Issue all operators telexes, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service information letters to Engineering Technical Services using the in-house electronic workflow
- Liaise with section heads for any publication requirements and initiate publications requests
to the procurement section. Liaise with Procurement and external suppliers to ensure that all documentation supplies are available
- Liaise with vendors/manufacturers and internal departments on any discrepancies found in publications and follow-up for corrective action
- Maintain on-board aircraft libraries and update with the latest revisions of Engineering and flight operation documentation including laptop data packages
- Ensure the flight operation documentation is distributed to the flight crew in a timely manner
- Assist the flight training department with flight operation documentation requirements for crew on training courses
- Prepare Airbus and Boeing aircraft maintenance consultation database using the document management system and SGML manufacturer data and perform functional testing of digital maintenance applications for revision promote on the company network and on DVD-ROM
- Publish the latest manufacturer and vendor digital data on the company network in a timely manner and notify the users accordingly
