

The Continuing Airworthiness section (CA) is responsible for the setting up of processes and procedures to enable effective monitoring of the airworthiness of the Emirates fleet.
The activities of this section cover the management of the various engineering function procedure manuals for which Emirates Engineering holds approvals to undertake required airworthy maintenance and their expedition as agreed with airworthiness authorities such as the UAE GCAA, EASA and FAA.
In addition, the CA section manages an Engineers Approval System, which authorises Maintenance Engineers to release aircraft to service, and various other major aircraft components such as engines and APU. The section also manages engine test cell operational approval.
The Quality Assurance department holds: CAR 145, FAR 145, EASA Part-145, EASA Part-21 and ISO 9000 engineering approvals.
