At Emirates, we provide a wide range of technical training covering the whole Emirates fleet. The Engineering School is GCAA and EASA 147 approved and provides courses to EASA level 1, 2 and 3 and ATA level 1, 2, 3 and 4 standards.
Carefully selected school leavers may join either of two apprentice training programmes offered by the Engineering School.
This programme includes classroom, workshop and on-the-job hangar training and leads to accreditation as a skilled aircraft mechanic. Fully equipped to ICAO standards, Emirates’ extensive training facilities include basic engineering, machine welding, and composites repair, airframe, engines and avionics workshops. Graduates from this apprenticeship program may then acquire an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's licence and subsequent type approvals.
This programme includes classroom, workshop and on-the-job hangar training. Successful students can gain a GCAA / EASA Part 66 'A' licence.
Approved aircraft type training is conducted on Airbus A310, A330-200, A340-300, A340-500 and the new A380-800 plus the Boeing B777-200, 200ER, 200LR, 300 and 300ER variants.
Our aircraft type training utilises advanced computer based systems, including Airbus VACBI and Boeing CBT programmes together with ground based maintenance simulators to allow the students to practice the required procedures in a controlled environment under an instructor’s guidance.
