A dedicated team of experts in our Cabin Interiors section is responsible for a broad range of activities associated with:
- Enhancement of passenger comfort and introduction of new features and amenities
- Preparation of specifications for the new BFE products
- Evaluation and selection of BFE suppliers
- Technical coordination and programme management of the BFE items from initial to the delivery stage and thereafter to an acceptable level of maturity
- Preparation of retrofit configuration layouts, scoping works, product, inviting bids and integrator selection
- Technical coordination and programme management up to completion of retrofit and issuance of the supplemental type certificate
- Carrying out in-house modifications to bring the aircraft to Emirates' operating standards
- Carrying out minor modification under EASA Part-21 approval
- Provision of entry into service support to all other departments to facilitate a smooth introduction of new aircraft to the fleet
