Production Support provides vital planning and support services for Base Operations, Base Heavy Maintenance and Workshops to carry out smooth and effective maintenance/repair on the Emirates fleet, with an aim of ensuring minimum aircraft ground time and component repair turnaround time.

These functions include:

Pre-check Activities:

Reviewing routine package tasks for resource requirements, task sequencing and developing a flow-chart of activities based on available manpower capacity, analysing critical paths vs ground time, preloading routine spares and conducting pre-check input meetings to ensure efforts are coordinated in order to successfully implement the project.

Current Check Activities:

Monitoring progress by tracking task accomplishment, immediately preloading required spares, analysing non-routine requirements, exploring rectification possibilities and monitoring and analysing man-hour capturing statistics. This provides valuable data to the Project Manager for following up of open actions from the daily review meeting and coordinating with various other sections - Stores/Material Planning for spares requirements; repairs for out-house Repairs Workshops to facilitate the flow of Base
Maintenance activities; Maintenance Planning/Programmes for task content queries; and Technical Services for any specialised support services.

Post-check Activities:

Analysis of non-routine, in-coming/out-going deferred defects, spares return, captured vs planned man-hours and other financial indicators. Active participation and feedback in washout meetings and issuance of the End of Check Reports.

Workshop Planning Activities:

Analysing and follow up of material requirements for in-house repair orders, creation of monthly statistical reports and conducting weekly review meetings with workshops.
