Structures Shop

The Structures Shop is sub-divided into four different sub-shops - Sheet metal shop, Composite shop, Welding shop and Machine shop.

All the workshops carry out inspections, repairs, modifications and overhauls on aircraft structures and components.

The main role of the Sheet metal, Composite, Welding and Machine shops is to support Base and Line Maintenance for casualty and damage rectification. In addition, they provide support to all other workshops with regard to structural defects identified during component inspections. All the work is carried out to approved airworthiness standards and requirements.

The capabilities of these shops include composite structure repairs, metallic structures repairs, repair and manufacture of rigid pipes and Airbus control cables, repair and manufacture of floor, ceiling and sidewall panels.
