The IFE Line department is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day maintenance of the IFE systems installed on our aircraft. Emirates IFE systems include 2000e 3000i and the new Ex2.
The primary objective of the IFE section is to ensure the standards and services of IFE systems are delivered and operate to the highest possible levels and in line with Emirates' objectives and promise of discovery!
Together with the cabin team, this section ensures our passengers enjoy not just an excellent product but in addition, a long lasting and unparalleled experience.
Through carefully planned and pre-emptive interventions, IFE engineers and technicians monitor and analyse trends, defects and reports to ensure that all scheduled and un-scheduled log book entries, deferred defects and repeat defects are addressed efficiently and effectively.
This commitment results in improved overall serviceability and subsequently, reduces unscheduled interruptions, passenger discomfort and unnecessary spares usage.
The section operates on a continuous shift basis, 365 days a year, on the ramp at Dubai International Airport and currently employs over 108 staff, consisting of Managers, Engineers, Technicians, Mechanics and Co-ordinators.
